The Victoria Day Cup is a competitive tournament hosted by Westcastle International Academy for U11-U18 Boys and Girls, in the beautiful cities of Victoria and Langford on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Games will be played on Saturday and Sunday between 9 am and 4 pm,  and Monday between 9 am – 4 pm.

This Tournament is sanctioned by the BC Soccer Association

The Victoria Day – PSV Eindhoven Coaching Workshop Club Administrators, TDs, Coaches and have you always wanted to know how a European professional academy works to guide talents in their development optimally? You will receive exclusive insights from professional coaches and technical staff and observe training sessions from PSV Eindhoven.

Format U11-U13 : May 18 and 19th

Games @University of Victoria

    • 4 games in round robin format
    • no championship games
  • U11 (born 2014)
  • U12 (born 2013)
  • U13 (born 2012)
    • Division 1: Best of the Best (Division 1/Gold)
    • Division 2: Tier – (Silver/ Development)

Format U14-U18: May 18 to 20

Games @ Starlight Stadium, Goudy Stadium, Centre Mountain Lellum Middle School 

  • 2 games in group stages (5 points win, 2 points tie, 1 point shut-out in a win) (May 18 and 19th)
  • 1 playoff game (PKs for tie game) May 19th
  • 1 gold medal game (winners – Champions t-shirt ), 1 game 3rd/4th game and 1 game 5th/6th game (May 20th)
  • All teams are guaranteed 4 games, however, the format is dependent on the number of entries at age group/division
  • Age groups may be combined where needed

    • Division 1: Best of the Best: BCSPL & Competitive (A Cup Teams)

Game Length:

  • U11 – U12: 2x 25 mins – 8v8
  •  U13 – 2x 25 min  – 9v9
  • U14 – U15: 2 x 25 mins  – 11v11
  • U16 – U18: 2 x 25 mins -11v11

Refund Policy:

Refunds will be provided up to April 18th subject to a $100 administration fee. No refunds provided after April 18th.

Team/Player Eligibility:

As a BC Soccer-sanctioned tournament, entry into the Tournament is open to teams properly affiliated with BC Soccer and/or other Provincial Associations. “Tournament Teams” are not permitted.

Teams from outside of BC must provide copies of approved travel documents, before the tournament, for their team/players from the Province to which they belong.

Only properly registered players, in good standing, shall be permitted to participate in the tournament.

WIA Select Team: Individual Player Registration

Westcastle International Academy is accepting registrations from individual players looking to get in on the action.

  •  Players born 2009-2006 interested in playing to be selected for the the Halmstads BK training camp and trials
  • A player is not on another team’s roster participating in the tournament. A player can only play on one team in the tournament.
  •  Players must be from the same or lower division. 
  •  If a player is not registered with BC Soccer, WIA will apply for a BC Soccer Short-Term Event Player Permit for the player.
  •  Guest players wishing to participate in the Victoria Day Cup Tournament must obtain written permission from the team & Youth District and/or Adult League with which the player is registered. 

Cancellation Policy:

If the tournament is forced to be cancelled, teams will have the option to receive a credit or refund of a percentage of their paid entry fee.  This credit is to be used in future Festival or tournaments (within one year), and will be given in the following increments:

    • 100% credit – no games played
    • 60% refund – 1 games played
    • 30% refund – 2 games played

WIA will do everything in our ability to reschedule games with priority given to travelling teams. The safety of the players and faculties rental rules will be the number determining factor. WIA will not be responsible for costs incurred by travelling teams.
