The Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System is back on Vancouver Island through an official partnership with Westcastle International Academy (WIA), providing a clear, high-performance pathway for aspiring players.
Launched in Fall 2024, the Whitecaps FC Vancouver Island BMO Academy Centre delivers a nationally aligned development environment rooted in the Canada Soccer Player Development Program. Players benefit from Whitecaps FC’s professional training curriculum, coach education, talent identification, and long-term development framework, creating opportunities that extend from grassroots soccer to elite youth pathways and post-secondary options through the ‘Caps to College program.
This collaboration strengthens player development on Vancouver Island while opening doors to the highest levels of the Canadian game.

Programs Offered
Prospects Academy (U8–U14)
Designed to identify and develop young players within the Canada Soccer Player Development Program, the Prospects Academy focuses on technical excellence, game understanding, and long-term player growth in a high-performance environment aligned with Whitecaps FC methodology.
Caps to College
A comprehensive pathway supporting players pursuing post-secondary opportunities through soccer. The program combines high-level training with guidance on the collegiate recruitment process, helping athletes navigate academic and athletic pathways in Canada and the United States.
Goalkeeper Program
A specialized development stream dedicated to goalkeeper-specific training, led by qualified staff and aligned with Whitecaps FC’s goalkeeper curriculum. The program emphasizes technical mastery, tactical understanding, physical preparation, and position-specific development.
