Skill Centre – GU10/U11

2025/2026: PLAYERS BORN 2015/2016

OVERVIEW

The U10/U11 Skill Centre focuses on developing confident, creative, and technically strong players in a fun and supportive environment.

Aligned with Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards, the program emphasizes individual skill development, game understanding, and teamwork through age-appropriate, engaging sessions. Players build their foundation in ball mastery, decision-making, and physical literacy, essential tools for future stages of the game.

At this level, the focus remains on learning and development rather than results. Teams are formed to ensure balanced competition and equal playing opportunities, and rosters remain flexible to encourage growth, confidence, and a positive training environment for every player.

Training sessions are led by certified, experienced coaches who design activities that challenge players, promote creativity, and foster a lifelong enjoyment of the game.

SCHEDULE

Training Block 1:
Fall: September 3 – December 11, 2025

- Training session locations – Layritz and St Andrews
- 2 Training sessions per week (Technical and SSG incorporated)
- Optional 3rd training session: Vancouver Island Prospects Academy delivered in partnership with Whitecaps FC

Training Block 2:
Winter: January 6 – March 11, 2026

- Training session locations – Layritz and St Andrews
- 2 Training sessions per week (Technical and SSG incorporated)
- Optional 3rd training session: Vancouver Island Prospects Academy delivered in partnership with Whitecaps FC

Training Block 3:
Spring: April 6 – May 30, 2026
(This block is optional with an additional $600 fee)
