Westhills Football Club is a part of Westcastle International Academy.
Westhills FC offers community-based soccer programs for new and emerging players between the ages of 2 and 12, an introduction to the game of soccer. The main goals of the club are to help eliminate barriers preventing participation in community programming, increase overall physical activity by developing good physical literacy and fundamental movement skills, and introduce more kids to the sport of soccer.
Westhills FC runs a “Discovery Centre” for new and merging players and an after school “Canada Soccer – Dedicated Player Program” that develops the fundamental skills required by players to succeed at whatever level of the game they aspire to.
Children in the Dedicated Player Program focus on their football development as well as their physical literacy. Sports like Basketball, Dodgeball, Judo and Track & Field form a key part of the training regime and account for 25-30 percent of their development up to the age of 12.
Players may participate in Festivals and Lower Island Soccer Association tournaments or games.
