Discovery Centre
The Discovery Centre is a community-based program offering new, emerging and developing club players between the ages of 2 and 11 years, a grassroots development soccer program. The main goals of the program are to help eliminate barriers preventing participation in community programming, increase overall physical activity by developing good physical literacy and fundamental movement skills, and introduce more kids to the sport of soccer.
Training sessions cover basic soccer skills and enhance physical literacy. WIA coaches will run station-based training sessions focusing on Physical Literacy, Match Play, Technical Skill, or a Social Activity.
The coaching will be organized and supervised by the Centre’s Technical Director and assisted by certified WIA Technical Assistants. However, parents are encouraged to participate in the sessions as helpers.
