Individual Development Plan (IDP) Training
The IDP Training Program is a player-driven initiative designed to enhance skills, confidence, and overall performance. By focusing on both technical development and personal goals, players work in pairs to refine their game through a structured, position-specific approach.
What IDP Training Covers
Position-Specific Development – Each position has tailored technical and physical training to maximize growth.
Defender (Def)
- Technical: First touch, passing, breaking lines, switching play, combination plays, 1v1 attacking
- Physical: Speed, reaction, agility, flexibility
Midfielder (Mid)
- Technical: Passing (short & long), ball control (ground & air), turning, switching play, combination plays, mobility, shooting, finishing, attacking 1v1, heading, crossing
- Physical: Mobility, speed endurance, reaction, lateral movement, acceleration
Striker (St)
- Technical: Passing (short & long), ball control (ground & air), movement & runs, combination plays, 1v1 attacking, shooting, finishing, heading
- Physical: Speed, reaction, mobility, aerobic power, acceleration
Player’s Role in IDP
The IDP Training is personalized, allowing players to focus on specific areas they want to improve, such as:
- Finishing
- Speed
- Midfield Play
Players take ownership of their development by:
✔ Identifying Strengths & Weaknesses – Understanding what they excel at and where they need improvement leads to focused training.
✔ Setting Achievable Goals – Continuous growth comes from working on weaknesses while sharpening strengths.
✔ Receiving Coaching Feedback – Constructive input, combined with performance tools, helps players track progress and refine their game.
This player-driven approach fosters both immediate improvement and long-term development, helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the field.
