Players invited to join the “Rising Stars” program will register with Westcastle International Academy (WIA), be placed into training groups, and be rostered weekly for Lower Island Soccer Association (LISA) games.

The Stars will compete in the LISA Girls U10/11 and Girls U12 Developmental League, which aligns with Canada Soccer’s requirements for Skill Centres. WIA employs a flexible roster system, forming teams weekly based on competition needs and individual player development.

Teams may include players who train at other WIA locations, all following the same curriculum and philosophy.

Two locations to choose from

• UVIC – Tues and Thurs (3:15 – 4:30 pm)
• LANGFORD (NLF) – Mon and Wed – 4:45 – 6:00 pm

TRAINING BLOCK 1: SEPTEMBER 2024 – DECEMBER 2024

• 2 Training sessions per week (Technical and SSG incorporated)
  • 60-75 mins training sessions
• 3rd session per week (Whitecaps: Vancouver Island Prospects Academy)
  • Sunday: October 20 – December 8
  • 75 min session
• Participation in a LISA Active Start Festival and LISA Dev League

TRAINING BLOCK 2: JANUARY 2025 – MARCH 2025

• 2 Training sessions per week (Technical and SSG incorporated)
  • 60-75 mins training sessions
• 3rd session per week (Whitecaps: Vancouver Island Prospects Academy)
  • Sunday: October 20 – December 8
  • 75 min session
• Participation in a LISA Active Start Festival and LISA Dev League

FULL-SEASON

• $450 includes GST and base kit (jersey, shorts socks)
