BCSPL PRE-INTAKE SKILL CENTRE
WIA is pleased to announce that we are close to achieving the National Youth Club Licence and are working with Canada Soccer and BC Soccer to enter the BC Soccer Premier League in September 2025 at U14 age groups.
Westcastle International Academy Skill Centre is a BCSPL Pre-Intake Skill Centre for players U8 to U12.
The primary focus of this Skill Centre program is to develop and support players wishing to play at the highest levels of youth soccer in Canada, the BCSPL and Competitive Pathway (U14-U18). The training environment resembles the game environment, with each training session focusing on relevant, game-realistic skill development, for motivated athletes.
WIA offers the BCSPL PRE-INTAKE SKILL CENTRE Programs at two locations
SKILL CENTRE @UVIC (VICTORIA)
An after-school soccer development program with 3 sessions a week including a multi-sport component.
SKILL CENTRE @WESTHILLS (LANGFORD)
A comprehensive soccer development program with 3 sessions per week that covers the four pillars of soccer development.
WIA is a full Lower Island Soccer Association member, participating in the weekly LISA development league against other LISA member clubs.
Canada Soccer has created the Skill Centre to guide clubs towards the best principles in player development, by taking a nationally coordinated approach to developing young soccer players. The WIA Skill Centre follows the guidelines and standards outlined in the Canada Soccer Association Skill Centre manual.
